Cross country ran Tuesday evening in the Leslie invitational. The girls were unstoppable coming in first again. We had 12 runners in the top 25 and earn medals. The boys team did well with Briggs Baker and Jack Sturgill earning medals for their run!

Good afternoon Comet families! This message is for families whose students ride BUS 12. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, BUS 12 will be picking students up at the Litchfield in town stop ten minutes later for the remainder of the year. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE A.M. runs. Any student at the in town Litchfield stop should bump back their pick up time by 10 minutes for the a.m. pick up. Thank you and go Comets!

Backyard biology class starts the year learning about monarch butterflies! We tagged and released our first butterflies of the season on Friday! We raise the caterpillars and watch their amazing metamorphosis into green and gold dotted chrysalis and then Comet pride colored butterflies. We work with scientists from an organization called “Monarch Watch” by tagging the monarchs using stickers with unique codes on them and submitting data on the butterflies we release. These codes will help scientists study the monarch migration. Hopefully these insects will make it all the way to Mexico! We won’t know until the spring when the tags are recovered. https://monarchwatch.org/

Congratulations to our Middle School Girls Cross Country team, 2024 Hillsdale Academy Invitational Champions! Go Comets!
