District volleyball -Jonesville Comets will play the Hanover Horton Comets at 6:00 in Springport for the district final!! Come cheer on our Comets!

As you know, we ran an athletic facility bond over the summer and it was defeated. The vote was very close but it’s important to understand why people voted the way they did whether it was yes or no. The survey is on our main page at Jonesvilleschools.org.
The survey is anonymous. We are just looking for insight from our community. If you’ve already taken the survey there is no need to take it again. We appreciate your help with this! Go Comets!

Friendly reminder to take our survey on the athletic bond. The link is in the email sent from Sunday night. It’s very quick and provides us with useful information as we decide how to proceed. Thank you to all of our Comet families who have already completed the survey!

Happy Halloween from JMS!

Comet families! As you know, students are required to wear masks on school buses as they are deemed public transportation. We have been providing masks for our students who have forgotten their’s but it really should be in case of an emergency. In the last two weeks, we have gone through over a thousand masks which is more than we did since the beginning of the school year. Please make sure your student has a mask so we are only handing them out in case of emergencies. Thank you

Jonesville is now paying substitute teachers $100 a day! We are in need of guest teachers at all grade levels. Come be a part of Comet pride!

Hello JMS Students!
I hope that you are able to stay safe and warm on this snow day. Hopefully, you are able to get outside, stay active, and make some winter memories today. While I encourage you to go out and play in the snow, build snowmen, go sledding, and drink hot chocolate, I am also hoping to encourage you to participate in the JMS Snow Day Challenge.
Whenever we have a snow day, all students will be able to participate in an educational challenge, for a chance to win multiple prizes. Students will need to login to ExactPath via Clever and then have a choice to work on assignments in Reading, Math, or Language Arts. Students may work in one area, or multiple areas throughout the day. The contest will be open from 8am - 3pm. Anyone who completes a minimum of 1 hour of work will be entered into a drawing for various prizes. There will also be a prize for the student who completes the most amount of work throughout the day. We encourage you all to participate in the contest and do your best.
Additional Snow Day Challenge:
Build a snowman, make a snow angel, go sledding, cook or bake and use your math skills, then send a picture of your creations to Mr. Kennard at: LKennard@Jonesvilleschools.org
We would love to post some awesome pictures on our website or Facebook page.
Winners will be announced after we return to school. Good luck, Comets!
