January is School Board Appreciation Month. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the dedicated individuals who lead our district. Their commitment to excellence ensures our students have the resources and support they need to succeed every single day. If you see one of these individuals out and about, be sure to thank them for their hard work!

Jonesville high schoolers Julia Mandrelle and Harper James came into the middle school on Friday, January 9th as members of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation YOUTH. The YOUTH Board’s January campaign is the promotion of one of their new slogans: New Year; New YOU! Harper and Julia set up a table during the three different lunches with a poster that had the slogan on it. Students "signed” this poster by putting their handprint in paint on it. Their handprint symbolized their new year’s pledge to living a healthy life and promoting healthy habits. Each student who signed the pledge then received a keychain that was provided by the YOUTH Board. In doing this, the YOUTH Board helped promote healthy living for these students in the new year and advocated against negative habits. The posters were then hung in the school so that the students will remember their promise and try their best to have a healthy new year.
