JCS would like to thank outgoing board member, Scott Campbell, for his 12 years of service to our district and community. Board membership comes with a lot of responsibility and navigating challenging times and events. Scott was able to do this while keeping a focus on what is best for staff and students. JCS is grateful and he will be missed! Thank you and go Comets!!!

Mrs. Snyder's class participated in a fun activity this week. The students became surgeons and the classroom became an operation room. The kids received patients that required surgery. This was a fun activity leading up to their math test during the week before Christmas break!

Good morning Comet families. JCS will be on a two hour delay due to fog. Sorry about the inconvenience. Have a great day!

Thank you to our local businesses!

Good afternoon Comet families! There are some questions about the FFA/Press box projects. The plans were both submitted to the state over the summer and came back with required fixes. We had them fixed and the plans have been resubmitted to the state. We hope to hear back soon! We apologize for the delays but the projects are on track!

Dr. Bill Adams, Rotarian, reciting "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to Jonesville first graders, while they drink hot cocoa and eat a candy cane. The kids really enjoyed the experience!

Can you imagine going from Hawaii to Alaska in two minutes? Thanks to the Jonesville Community Foundation Grant, our children can learn while playing. If you look closely at the before picture, the USA outline is barely visible. This grant funding made this worthy community school project possible, along with extremely hard work from Mrs.Bolz-Sweebe and many 4th Graders at Williams Elementary.
Staff will use the map to teach geography and social studies through creative play. Mrs. Bolz-Sweebe was awarded the grant and said, "Parents and grandparents will be encouraged to visit the school grounds and use the huge map to trace the wanderings of family trips and play other games with their children." "The map will benefit children for many years to come," said JCEF President Cindy Bieszk
