Students who complete the challenge have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing for some awesome prizes!

From Williams Elementary School:
This morning we had a special visitor Zoom with Mrs. Snyder's 3rd grade class for WORLD READ ALOUD DAY! Sandra Markle reached out to Mrs. Snyder and asked if she could read to her class. She read parts of her book WHAT IF YOU COULD SNIFF LIKE A SHARK? (See picture). After reading she spent a few minutes answering questions.
Sandra Markle was a teacher, she was Ms. Whiz demonstrating science on local television in Georgia, and she has worked with CNN, PBS, and even Nickelodeon.
This is a once in a lifetime experience for them as 3rd graders and Sandra told them that they were the ONLY class that she was reading to today.

From Williams Elementary School:
Each month every teacher has the opportunity to recognize 4 students who exhibits Comet PRIDE by giving them a white ticket.
All tickets are placed into a drawing for prizes and 5 winners are selected.
January winners include Braelynn, Taylor, Jordyn, Tayrn, and Mariah. Congratulations!

Williams Elementary School had 201 students participate in the 1st Snow Day Challenge on Tuesday, January 26!
Of those participating, 9 students had their names selected as grand prize winners.
Congratulations to Rylie, Ava, Emmit, Clara, Kembry, Logan, Brennan, Odin, and Ashton!
We are super proud of those students who met our challenge. Keep up the great work!

Thank you to the Jonesville Bakery for these amazing birthday cupcakes.
January 26, 1837 Michigan entered the union as the 26th state.
Every year our 3rd graders celebrate Michigan's birthday by singing and eating some birthday cake!

Today I had a pleasant surprise. Mrs. Theresa Draper stopped by and made a donation to Williams Elementary in honor of Dr. Toner & Dr. Gutowski for all the great work they do in our county. On behalf of Williams Elementary staff and students, we thank you!
