Weekly Update For 9/27/21

Dear JMS Parents,

Here are the important dates and information for the week:

  • No School this Monday, September 27th.  Fair Day

  • NWEA testing makeup will be this week.  If your student has been unable to take the NWEA test at school, they will test when they return.  Testing is possible at home, please contact esmith@jonesvilleschools.org so we can set up a testing session.

  • MSTEP scores have been released and will be sent home in the next few weeks.  Scores should be available now in Skyward.  Simply login to your parent portal, then click on “State Assessment Data” in the last box on the left hand side.  You should see the results from last year as well as previous testing data.

  • Sports:

    • Cross Country, Tuesday, September 28 @ 5:30pm.  Away at Homer Jamboree.

    • JMS Volleyball, Wednesday, September 29 @ 5:30pm.  Home vs. Springport.

    • JMS Football, Wednesday, September 29 @ 6:00pm.  Home vs. Michigan Center.

    • Cross Country, Thursday, September 30 @4:30pm.  Away at Hanover Horton (Meckley’s Flavor Fruit Farm)

  • Students who are quarantined are required to complete all classwork while they are away from school.  Your teacher should have Google Classroom or Schoology set up to deliver all assignments and instruction.  Failure to complete assignments on time will result in a lowered grade.  If you are sick, please let your teacher know so an exception can be.

  • During sporting events, please talk with your child and remind them to stay off of the baseball and softball fields.  This is especially problematic during football games.  There is an area behind the bleachers where the students can play.  We are trying to keep the softball fields from any damage during construction.
