We are very disappointed to share that, due to river conditions, we have to cancel the JMS Paddle to School Day scheduled for Friday, June 4. Unfortunately, the water is just too low, especially in the old Mill Pond area. With no significant rainfall, it is only a couple of inches deep in that area, and doesn't allow for a float. After talking with Jonesville Police Chief Mike Lance, he shared that they had multiple calls this weekend with kayakers "stuck" on the river. I'm afraid these conditions just would not make for a fun experience for any of us! I'm so sorry, we will plan to do this again next year!
